The Bridge<\/h1>\n

The bridge holding the strings on the liuto forte was developed by Benno Streu (Freiburg). It is no different from the classic lute bridge in appearance or weight, but is fitted with a defined and rigid seating for each separate string. This construction improves the transmission of string vibration to the soundboard, with considerably less loss of energy than the soft loops on the old lute bridges.<\/p>\n
