Les cordes simples n\u00e9cessitent une tension nettement sup\u00e9rieure, m\u00eame sur des instruments historiques comme le th\u00e9orbe, l\u2019archiluth ou le galichon. Le timbre de tels instruments, s\u2019ils sont jou\u00e9s avec les ongles, est clair et per\u00e7ant, ce qui les rend tout \u00e0 fait aptes \u00e0 l\u2019ex\u00e9cution de continuo. Einzelsaiten erfordern auch auf historischen Lauteninstrumenten wie Theorbe, Arciliuto oder Gallichon eine deutlich h\u00f6here Spannung. Der Klang solcher Instrumente ist, zumal wenn sie mit N\u00e4geln gespielt werden, hell und durchdringend, was sie f\u00fcr das Continuo-Spiel vorz\u00fcglich geeignet macht. In der N\u00e4he allerdings wirkt er \u2013 wie schon Sylvius Leopold Wei\u00df (1684-1750) in seinem Brief an Johann Mattheson bemerkt \u2013 \u201er\u00fcde\u201d und \u201easpern\u201d (rauh).<sup id=\"fn\">1<\/sup>Bedingt durch die Deckenkonstruktion der historischen Laute fehlt es ihnen sowohl an W\u00e4rme wie an Sustain \u2013 unverzichtbaren Qualit\u00e4ten eines Soloinstruments.<sup id=\"fn\">2<\/sup><\/p><p><img class=\"size-full wp-image-4397 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/liuto-forte.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/13-6064.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"570\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p><p class=\"fn\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><sup id=\"fn\">1<\/sup>\u00a0Johann Mattheson: Der neue G\u00f6ttingische ...
